Number 1 in Veneer
Testers -- Worldwide
The Metriguard Model 2600 FX (2650) ultrasonic veneer tester is the industry
standard for sorting veneer for Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL). New
models include 2650 DFX with digital processing and temperature compensation, 2700 VITKA
high-speed density and moisture content, and the Model 2800 DME which
enhances measurement of ultrasonic velocity with compensation for moisture content,
temperature and wood density to compute Modulus of Elasticity.
Metriguard Model 2800 DME
Veneer Tester
Dry-weight basis density, Modulus of
Elasticity, ultrasonic velocity
Wood temperature compensation, width, thickness (opt)
New for 2008 Model 2805 DME Veneer Tester, now faster than ever
Now with Windows ®
graphical user interface, USB ports, Ethernet, Touch Screen Controls
All the capabilities of the 2800 DME at 600
ft/min production speeds.
All models delivered after 1994 can be field upgraded to full 2805 specifications.
New for 2007, the Metriguard Model 2805 DME (below) offers even faster performance with full grading capabilities to 600 ft/minute line speeds to keep up with the fastest veneer dryer lines. Please check the products page or give us a call.
Designed for demanding production line use,
this equipment computes modulus of elasticity from measured ultrasonic velocity and
specific gravity measurements. Includes digital data processor, ultrasonic velocity
measurement, wood density (specific gravity) measurement, MC measurement and infrared
temperature measurement / compensation.
Installation in belt conveyor lines is made simple by the split-frame design that allows
the top of the machine to be removed. The lower transport mechanism is then
installed under the conveyor flights and the top sensor package is then replaced.
Drive speed is automatically matched by routing the return flight of the conveyor around
the large drive pulley under the machine.
